The beaches of the Mediterranean sprawls it’s one end, while the hills of Montjuïc border it’s other end – Barcelona, is one of the most vibrant cities of Spain – alive with its character, people and food.

How to get there ? You can get to Barcelona by air, train and bus. If you are within the mainland Europe, traveling you can even drive to Barcelona form a nearby country. Once in Barcelona you can make use of the very efficient urban transport system of the place. You can also rent a car or hire a taxi if need be.

Where to Stay: Based on your budget, you will have a variety of options to choose from to stay in Barcelona. From €50 to €400 – the range is wide. However the best traveling tip would be to travel in a group so that you can save some mullah! If you are planning to stay for a longer period, then you can think of renting apartments as well. There are youth hostels available as well.

Tourist Attractions: The amazing architecture of Barcelona attracts people from all over the world. Don’t miss the Eixample neighborhood, buildings by Antoni Gaudi, the Picasso museum, the National museum of Catalan Art, the galleries that will give you a first-hand experience of Spanish culture and of course the theatres.

Activities: Once in Barcelona, don’t forget the great food – it has been voted as Europe’s food capital. Traditional Catalan staples to experimental food do try out the famous Pa amb tomaquet and Sarsuela. Enjoy the nightlife of Barcelona, and try your ‘feet’ at soccer!
