London, the capital of England, the Union Jack and great melting pot of people from all over the world has been a point of travel interest for centuries now. Hugging the shores of river Thames, London is breathes heavily surrounded by multistoried buildings and traffic congestion, underground stations and famous London taxis. Let’s explore the British flavor in London.

How to get there ? London can be reached by air, water or land via the English Channel from the mainland Europe. Once in London, it is advisable that you travel by using the public transport. The city is very well-connected by the underground trains and buses.
Where to stay? Staying in London is pretty expensive. You can choose YMCA hostels to stay at or you can pick up a hotel in a suburban area and travel to London by train, if the budget is a bit tight.

Places to see: There are places galore to explore in London. Don’t miss the colorful change of guards in Buckingham Palace. Madam Tussaud’s, the museum of natural history, the London Dungeon, London eye, the Tower of London, the London museum, the Harrods, the Piccadilly circus, a game of cricket at the Lords, the Wimbledon, are some attractions, that if your are in London, you must not miss.

You can keep London as the base and explore the adjoining places like Manchester, Stratford upon Avon or take a trip to Scotland and Ireland.

  1. I’ll like to go to London and probably visit two of the biggest football club there, Arsenal and Chelsea. How much is YMCA hostel fees per night anyway?
